Microsoft MSFT +1.02% on Thursday said it plans to eliminate up to 18,000 jobs, or 14% of its work force, in a bid to streamline the company following the acquisition ofNokia ‘s devices and services business. Last week, CEO Satya Nadella hinted at the organizational changes to come in a long memo, and announced the job cuts in anew email today.
